Book Council partners
The work of the New Zealand Book Council would not be possible without the generous support of its principal funder, Creative New Zealand, and our other partners and supporters. On behalf of the children and other readers who benefit from our programme, we extend our heart-felt thanks.

Interested in adding the support of your organisation?
Partnership
Partnership with the Book Council gives you the chance to share our achievements in inspiring New Zealanders to read, write, create and learn through books.
Your organisation can be associated with:
- the success of our education programmes, which promote literacy and the enjoyment of books through author visits for more than 50,000 school children each year
- our website www.bookcouncil.org.nz, a site to excite New Zealanders' interest in books, reading and writing, and a unique and invaluable resource on New Zealand writing which receives more than 250,000 unique visitors annually
- our vigorous advocacy of books, reading and New Zealand writing and our active encouragement of new initiatives to enthuse more New Zealanders to read more
- our support of New Zealand writing and writers through our education and reader programmes and our promotional and advocacy work
- reader initiatives, including publications and newsletters and author events across the country.
If you are interested in forming a partnership with the Book Council, please call Chief Executive Noel Murphy to discuss how you can be involved in our work.
Patrons
Another way your organisation can support our work is to become a Patron Member of the Book Council. We have four patron membership options, ranging in price from $100 to $500. These allow businesses and organisations to receive all the benefits of Book Council membership, and make a direct financial contribution to one of our programmes.
