True Stories Told Live

The Book Council presents True Stories Told Live, an event that taps into the compelling need we all have for story, whether we are avid storytellers ourselves or enjoy listening to a good yarn. Unrehearsed and in front of a live audience the speakers get up one by one and either sit or stand on the empty stage. From all walks of life, some never having done anything like this before, they start where they think the beginning of their story is and end about 10 minutes later. It’s a great night’s entertainment and this Fathers’ Day you have the chance to come and hear seven different takes on Dad and fatherhood.

Speakers lined up include: Paul Shannon, Sue Reidy, Miranda Wilson, Heidi Tannenbaum, Ainsley Hogarth, Stanley Makuwe, Richard Smith and Kathy Lissienko.
