The School Library Books for Readers And Teachers

About The School Library (formerly known as BRAT)

Hundreds of books for children and young adults are published in New Zealand every year. Our quarterly round-up, The School Library , will make it easy to choose books for children and young people.

Available exclusively to members with Booknotes magazine, it lists almost all new books for children and young adults published in New Zealand. To receive Booknotes, join the Book Council.

Our aim is to be as comprehensive as possible in our listing. Each edition features a brief description of ten or twenty books, and a list of the others, with the suggested reading age, and the recommended retail price.

Teachers, librarians, parents, grandparents and kids can use The School Library to keep up to date with the dynamic children’s publishing scene.
