To book your place at a Book Council Meet the Author event, email events@bookcouncil.org.nz or telephone (04) 499 1569. A booking fee of $1.50 applies to all electronic transactions with the Book Council.

Who Might You Meet at a Book Council Event....?

From cutting-edge humour to touching home truths, from heroic adventures to Pythonesque comedy, Meet the Author events are designed to entertain, stimulate and challenge Kiwi readers.

We run more than 50 events a year nationwide, giving you a chance to see international authors and local talents read from and discuss their work. Hear those off-the-cuff remarks, get that book signed, and meet your writing hero when you Meet the Author.
