Auckland University Literary Fellowship

The University of Auckland Literary Fellowship has been created jointly by The University of Auckland and Creative New Zealand to foster New Zealand writing by providing a full-time opportunity to work in an academic environment.
The position is available for one year and is open to anyone in the field of creative writing: fiction, poetry or drama. A stipend of up to $52,281 per annum will be paid. Applicants should be writers of proven merit and be normally resident in New Zealand. The Fellow will be required to reside in Auckland for the term of the appointment. The contribution of the Literature Programme of Creative New Zealand, the Arts Council of New Zealand, Toi Aotearoa, who assist with funding for the Fellowship, is gratefully acknowledged.
Paula Green, whose latest book of poetry Crosswinds was published by AUP last year, has been awarded the 2005 University of Auckland Literary Fellowship.
