The Betty Gilderdale Award

The Betty Gilderdale Award is given annually by the Children's Literature Foundation of New Zealand for outstanding services to children's literature.

Formerly known as the Children's Literature Association's Award for Services to Children's Literature, the award was renamed in 2000 to honour Betty Gilderdale, a founding member of the Children's Literature Association of New Zealand.

It is open to teachers, booksellers, librarians and authors.
