Buddle Findlay Sargeson Fellowship

Buddle Findlay Sargeson Logo

The Buddle Findlay Sargeson Fellowship is awarded annually to a published New Zealand writer of fiction or poetry. Its twin aims are remembering Frank Sargeson and assisting New Zealand writers.

The fellow resides in a furnished studio flat in the Frank Sargeson Centre, on the eastern side of Albert Park in central Auckland, and receives a stipend of $40,000. The fellowship extends from March to December inclusive and the principal sponsor is national law firm Buddle Findlay.

The fellowship is advertised in the Listener, the New Zealand Author and on the book pages of the major newspapers in October of each year.
