Takahe Cultural Studies Competition

Along with its annual poetry and short story competition Takahe magazine runs a cultural studies competition.This will be judged by Rudolf Boelee and Cassandra Fusco. First prize is $100, and four runners up receive one year’s subscription to Takahe.

Entries (an essay of 1,500 to 2,500 words) should comment upon contemporary or traditional, popular or 'high' New Zealand culture, including visual, literary or performance aspects. The Takahe Collective requests permission to publish successful submissions and any illustration material.

Entry forms can be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to Takahe Magazine, P0 Box 13 335 Christchurch.
