Nelson Arts Festival Readers' and Writers' Week

A major highlight of the Nelson arts calendar is the annual Nelson Arts Festival. It includes theatre, dance, music, comedy, cabaret, a sculpture symposium and the Woolaston Readers & Writers week.

The very best writers from the New Zealand literary scene come to Nelson for a programme of informal gatherings, mainly at The Boathouse in Wakefield Quay. Buy a glass of wine, get a coffee, choose a light lunch from the menu and sit back to enjoy an hour or two of stimulating ideas, insights and inspiration.
