Victoria University Master of Arts in New Zealand Literature

Do you have strong opinions about New Zealand writing? Do you want to engage more closely with New Zealand literature?

Victoria University of Wellington’s School of English, Film and Theatre and Stout Research Centre for New Zealand Studies are offering the first Master of Arts (New Zealand Literature) in the world.

This specialised degree draws on Wellington’s uniquely rich resources and Victoria’s extensive expertise in New Zealand, Maori and Pacific writing in English.

Candidates accepted for the MA (NZ Lit) will attend a programme of seminars focusing on resources, methodologies, and a critical overview of research in New Zealand literature, and will produce a thesis with the help of a specialist supervisor.

Enrolments are normally required by the end of February.
