The Politics of Womanhood

3pm to 4pm
Auckland Art Gallery auditorium
lower ground floor

Panel: Holly Walker and Barbara Brookes
Chair: Leonie Hayden

Journalist Leonie Hayden chairs a lively discussion about women’s lives today… and in the past. Holly Walker’s recent Text The Whole Intimate Mess pairs motherhood and politics in the early twenty-first century with unexpected consequences; Barbara Brookes’s History of New Zealand Women weaves a rich narrative through the lives Māori and Pākehā women over two centuries. An inspiring conversation between three remarkable women writers.
