Exploring sound features in poetry

Sometimes the quest for meaning can shift the focus away from sound in a poem. In this workshop taught by Whanganui poet and teacher Airini Beautrais, we will go back to words as the building blocks of poems and explore different ways to approach sound. The New Zealand Society of Authors holds its national AGM, Saturday morning at the Dunedin City Library. In the afternoon are free workshops for writers. If you are not a member, you are welcome to attend the workshops for koha, and find out what NZSA is all about: workshops, advocacy, professional development, information, support and collegiality. We have 8 regional branches and many local hubs.
