This book is aimed at a preschool audience. The simple text and whimsical illustrations make this an ideal book to read to any young child. The subtle humour will also make it appealing to adults. The book is written from a child’s perspective and I think they would relate well to the use of simple language and metaphors. The repetition with which each page begins invites the audience to read along and at the end of the book we are left with the obvious question, why is your dad the best dad in the world?
I would recommend this book to any parent with young children from ages zero to six. I think teachers of new entrants would also find it useful as a book which would encourage discussion around parenting roles and role models.
